We support local; the love runs deep. We had to share our butter with other creatives who felt as passionately as we did. Here are some of the local artisans, their creations and praises about our butter in their own words.
Britt is a Florida-based vegan food blogger, photographer, videographer, recipe developer, content creator, and the smiling face behind The Banana Diaries. Her goal is to simplify plant-based baking, serving up undetectably vegan versions of your favorite recipes that are equally approachable and delicious, whether you’re a beginner or seasoned baker, allergen-conscious or a full-on dairy lover (i.e. her family 😊)
“I now use Om for all of my baking needs and am so thrilled with how seamlessly it works in all of my recipes. It honestly makes the most dreamy, lush buttercream you could imagine – even my dairy-loving family prefers the vegan version over the traditional!”
Fran, the “Queen of Vegan Desserts,” is Director of Vegan Baking and Pastry at Rouxbe Culinary School and Lead instructor of Essential Vegan Desserts. The recipes in her bestselling cookbooks, More Great Good Dairy-Free Desserts Naturally and Vegan Chocolate produce excellent results every time.
“Would swapping vegan butter make an already fabulous chocolate cookie even better? I decided to see. It had been while since I made the Double Chocolate Chunk Cookies, aka ‘Marty’s eat every day forever cookies’ from my Vegan Chocolate cookbook…I subbed ‘Bklyn Buttah’. It creamed beautifully and added a lovely flavor. The resulting soft yet chewy, very chocolatey cookies made with ‘Bklyn Buttah’ are my new go to.”
Brooklyn-based vegan chef Makenna, works as a restaurant consultant, recipe developer, caterer, private chef and pastry chef instructor.
“I’ve tried every available plant butter on the market and Om butter is the best product I’ve used. It’s my first choice for cooking and baking. It is perfect for creaming, it holds its shape without separating. Om Butter is the best for making laminated dough; it behaves just like non vegan butter.”
Alex is a Culinary Institute of America graduate and chef who has trained under Michelin starred chefs and works for one of the world’s leading luxury hotel brands. He is a firm believer that food is the way to anyone’s heart.
“Om butter is a perfect replacement for regular butter in any recipe at home or in any professional kitchen. I find myself reaching for Om butter more than full dairy butter at home. Om butter is my go-to alternative to dairy butter when cooking a light meal like this Roasted Squash Salad. It even takes this browned buttah dressing to the next level!”
Chef Brian, a Culinary Institute of America graduate, is a Private Chef based in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. He caters local private and corporate events.
“I use Om Sweet Home Butter pound for pound in all of my recipes when I need a vegan option. It’s the best vegan butter on the market and it’s the quality my customers have grown to expect.”
Remy is the vegan influencer Veggiekins and vegan recipe developer, sharing plant based and mostly gluten free food to help encourage everyone to eat more plants. Outside of the kitchen she can often be found at the farmer’s markets, in a forearm stand or swooning over rescue cats!
“Om butter is an amazing vegan alternative to butter, especially with regard to baking. It’s a perfect substitute, both sweet and savory and makes cruelty free cooking easy. Working with Om butter, I can make most recipes vegan by replacing butter 1:1. It’s hard to find a good vegan butter that behaves the way conventional butter does but Dawn cracked the code and makes vegan and gluten free baking easy and foolproof.”
Adam is the chef behind The Cinnamon Snail, a popular vegan food truck and restaurant business serving NYC and NJ. He also offers online vegan cooking classes and a completely plant-based recipe blog.
“Great to have access to a locally made vegan butter that has no soy or palm oil! And if you dislike coconut, don’t be scared! This doesn’t taste like coconut. It tastes buttery and nice.”
Established in 2015, Peaceful Provisions is a family, minority and women owned small-batch and scratch-made artisan donut shop open Friday-Sunday.
“We use Om Sweet Home butter in everything we make. From dough and puff pastry to buttercreams, cookies and cakes, this is a versatile vegan butter that can be used as a one-to-one substitution for traditional dairy butter in any recipe. Not only do we use this butter in various mixing methods, like the creaming method, muffin method, blending method, and more, we also use it in laminating our puff pastry and croissant doughnuts with good results.”

“The buttah works really well in savory dishes like this pasta con ceci because it doesn’t have a strong coconut flavor. It melts well too creating a great base for sauces.”
